JBEL Tasties has launched an online crowdfunding campaign.
JBEL Tasties opened their doors at 522 N. 2nd Street in October and has now launched a crowdfunding campaign. JBEL Tasties is located near the Hippodrome and their menu includes cakes, cookies, tarts, and tasty jars.

Hello! My name is Lynette Jefferies and I am the owner and operator of JBEL’s Tastries, a dessert boutique located in Richmond, VA, the Jackson Ward area. I had been operating a home based business since April of 2012. The business started growing and we needed to expand. I found a brick and mortar in the historic Jacksonward district and opened the dessert boutique in October of 2014.
JBEL’s Tastries seeks the serious help of monetary support as I continue to find out that it is not made easy to help small owned businesses to qualify for lending. Not even on a small scale. I have sacrificed much and I work very very hard to make my dessert company what it is as of today. I have all of the creativity to produce and provide great tasting gourmet desserts. However it takes more than great sweet treats to run and operated a successful business.
I have been funding this new business venture with my own seed money, however additional capital is needed to help in continuing the expansion and growth of our dessert company.
