This Friday is the deadline for people to apply for heating assistance through the Virginia Department of Social Services’ (VDSS) Energy Assistance Program. The goal is to help as many Virginians as possible stay warm this winter … While the program is officially called Fuel Assistance, it does not exclude qualifying households that use other heating methods.
Check out DSS’s website to see if you are eligible — I was not. Also, as an FYI, this program is funded by the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
