GreenDrop donation center coming to Patterson and Three Chopt

The donation center allows visitors to make tax-deductible donations to a number of popular charities at one facility.

From the news release:

It’s that time again – we’re ready to unveil the plans for our newest charitable donation center! We’re coming to yet another community in Virginia – Richmond, here we come.

After the warm welcome we received in Virginia Beach and Alexandria, we knew that expanding within the state was the right way to go.

The site was formerly a frozen yogurt shop, and we’re excited to give it new life as one of our brightly lit donation centers. After officially signing the lease on our new site this past May, we’re currently undergoing some construction and renovations. We’re hoping to be up and running by the end of August.

Not familiar with GreenDrop? No worries, it’s simple! We make it safe and convenient to donate and support our nation’s most important charities, the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the National Federation of the Blind. Simply bring unwanted, lightly used goods, to your nearest GreenDrop location, and an attendant will meet you at your car, unload your donations, and provide you with a tax-deductible receipt. Then just select a partner charity of your choice to donate to, and we’ll have you on your way. It’s that easy!
