Beginning Tues. Jan. 20, for approximately two weeks from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will be renewing the water main under Grace St., from Harrison St. to Ryland St.

This construction will require closing Grace between Harrison St. and Ryland St. Motorists heading west on Grace will be detoured right on Harrison, to left on Broad St., to left on Ryland St., then back to Grace. Motorists heading east on Grace will be detoured right on Ryland, left onto Franklin, on Laurel St., back to Grace.

There will be signs, cones and traffic barrels in place to alert motorists of the construction. During peak rush hour periods, motorists are asked to proceed with caution around this area.
