Good morning RVA: cold weather and cloudy skies

It’s cold out. At least it’s not snowing…yet.

Goooooood morning RVA!

It’s currently 34 °F outside, it won’t get much warmer, and there may be…snow in today’s forecast. Don’t freak out though, because it’s only a small chance and only for a short period of time this morning.

However, do freak out about Wednesday’s forecast: NWS is calling for snow and sleet Wednesday night. We’ve heard tell of some folks calling for significant accumulation–we’ll keep an eye on it.

Traffic is looking good so far with nothing to report.

Olympics watch

Two Americans took home gold medals in the Olympics, both snowboarders: Jamie Anderson (women’s slopestyle snowboarding) and (Sage Kotensburg, men’s slopestyle snowboarding).

Today we’ve got USA (yay!) vs. Switzerland (boo!) in women’s curling, the women’s super-combined slalom finals, men’s 1500m short track finals, and the men’s 500m finals.

VCU lost to St. Joeseph’s after a terrible call put an end to an exciting comeback.
