Yesterday’s murder of Virginia State Police Trooper Chad Dermyer, the injury of two civilians, and the shooting of the perpetrator was very sad and disturbing. Here’s what we know about it so far in our standard homicide format. Trevor has more information, including vigils and stuff.

Got my mind set on this weekend

Teens! Chris Bolling has, yet again, figured out your weekend for you. Isn’t he just the greatest? There’s music and festivals and art and all sorts of things–one of them is watching whatever you want on Netflix, so I kind of wish he’d plan out my weekend too.

It is the very best book sale of the year–the Friends of the Richmond Public Library book sale! This Friday and Saturday, you can get a ton of books (and CDs and DVDs) for ridiculously cheap. But if you miss it, oh well, there’s always the library![
