Richmond Police Department and Do Not Cross Tape

On Saturday, January 21, around 9:00 PM, a fifteen-year-old male was shot in the chest in the Gilpin Court neighborhood. The incident happened in the 1200 block of St. James Street. The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center and his condition has not been released at this time.

Police are currently investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers are 804.780.1000.
