The Virginia Poverty Law Center and Voices for Virginia’s Children together with the Mid-Atlantic Juvenile Defender Center invite you to join us for a General Assembly Candidates Forum on Thursday, September 27th and 7:00 p.m. in the Moot Court Room of the law school. The forum will feature General Assembly candidates from the Richmond area. It will be moderated by School of Law Professor Emeritus Robert E. Shepherd in a timed question and answer format. The questions, which will be available to all candidates in advance, will focus on a range of issues including juvenile justice, foster care, early childhood education, special education, supports for working families such as child care subsidies, and comprehensive health care for all children. Come and meet your General Assembly candidates and share your priorities on children’s issues with them
