Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden celebrates its 25th year with a series of events, including a three-day symposium in early February focused on the impact of global warming on gardening practices. “Gardening in an Era of Climate Change” takes place on February 4, 5 and 6, and is targeted toward green business owners and their staffs, landscape architects and designers, master gardeners and seasoned home gardeners.

The keynote speaker for the event is Allan Armitage:

“Dr. A.” is known throughout the world as a horticulture writer, photographer, speaker, teacher, and researcher. He may be best known for his book, Herbaceous Perennial Plants, now in its third edition (2008), but he has also transformed the greenhouse and garden trades with his plant trials and new plant introductions.

Armitage will speak on the changing landscape in the gardening industry. Other topics include healthy soils, hydrology, green roofs and more.

The deadline for registration is 5 p.m., Friday, January 30. Online registration is here (bottom of the page).
