The Times-Dispatch has released a spring high school baseball preview listing Douglas Freeman second among five area teams with high expectations for the upcoming season:
It’s hard to find a weakness on this roster with SS Jack Gerstenmaier (.333) and C Logan Harvey (.469) in the lineup and Daniel Lynch (7-1, 1.76 ERA) on the mound. Gerstenmaier and Lynch have committed to Virginia, Harvey to Wake Forest and P Miller Trevvett to Radford.
