The National Kidney Foundation of the Virginias will hold a free kidney health screening on Saturday, May 31, 10:00am – 2:00pm at Southside Regional Medical Center (801 South Adams St., Petersburg, VA, 23803). Physicians and nurses will be on site to conduct testing and answer questions about kidney disease prevention. Referrals for follow-up care will be provided to those who appear to be at risk.
The screening is open to the public, but space is limited. Please call the Foundation at (804) 288-8342 or email Eleanor Myers at eleanorm@kidneyva.org to pre-register. Anyone with diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of kidney disease is strongly encouraged to attend.
