The final installment of Club Cinema, eight weeks of offbeat, experimental and classic films, is Flicker, our regular showcase for Super 8 and 16mm short films by area filmmakers, on Thurs., Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Canal Club (1545 E. Cary Street, in Shockoe Bottom).

Shake off the turkey-induced haze and come out for a night of organically made, good for your soul films made by local filmmakers. Admission is a mere $3 at the door.

As always, if you or someone you know has a film to show, please contact me, James Parrish, at james@rmicweb.org. To screen at Flicker your film must originate on some film format (Regular 8, Super 8, 16mm, etc.) and be 15 minutes or less in length. Send me your name, film title, running time, original film format(s) and screening format (we can handle Super 8, 16mm, and films transferred/finished on VHS, DVD and miniDV).

The stuff we show is slow cooked and homemade — an antidote to the fast-food media offered up by the media conglomerates. See you at the show!
