Fashion Feeds The Byrd: A night of style benefitting The Byrd Theatre Foundation

Tickets are on sale now at several Carytown merchants and available for purchase online.

Members of the Carytown Merchants Association are teaming up to put on the second annual “Carytown Fashion Feeds the Byrd” event on Thursday night, one-day charity fashion show celebrating the art of fashion in film and benefitting The Byrd Theatre Foundation.

From the press release:

Guests will walk the red carpet as they enter the majestic Byrd Theatre to enjoy our cocktail hour with complimentary light hors d’oeuvres, provided by the restaurateurs of Carytown, as well as a cash bar. A silent auction featuring must-have, one-of-a-kind items, all from local proprietors, will be held in the Byrd’s mezzanine during cocktail hour with all proceeds going to the Byrd Theatre Foundation. Richmond’s own Lisa Schaffner will entertain the attendees as host and emcee for the evening.

Models will grace the stage of the Byrd inspired by some of the most iconic fashion moments in film. Film references will be derived from a wide range of genres and decades giving the audience a broad spectrum of looks. Participating show boutiques include Bygone’s, Lex’s, The Glass Boat, Walkabout Outfitter, AlterNatives, Clementine, Ashby, and Fab’rik. Volunteer accessories will be provided by Lou Lou. The after party is hosted by Portrait House.

The event kicks off at the Byrd Theatre at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:00.

Tickets are on sale in Carytown at Salon Vivace, Babe’s, Ellwood Thompson’s and Bygone’s or online.

Student tickets are $10, general admission is $20, and VIP tickets are $50. General admission increases to $25 at the door the day of the event.
