Shows of paintings by Marti Fann and photograph by Alison Overton will open the 2008-2009 season at 12 12 Gallery on August 24th with an artists’ reception that afternoon from 2-5PM. The show runs through Sunday, September 28th.
Marti Fann’s ‘Esoteric Illusions’ , a new collection of Watermedia on canvas, is presented in Gallery West.
It is “my passion to paint what I see and feel inside, to reveal a little of life in my colorful paintings. The contrasts of the colors mirror the contrasts of our lives and relationships.”
Gallery East hosts Alison Overton’s ‘Forest of Trees’, a group of hand-tinted photographs. Overton is known for her photographs that chronicle moments in the changing landscape. She is passionate about exploring and expanding her definition of the unique and mysterious in life and nature.
” ‘Forest of Trees’ is my photographic story of a family of trees – oak trees which are living out their silent, peaceful lives on land owned by members of my own family.”
