Eagle Construction president takes flight

Bud Ohly departs the company, headquartered in West Broad Village, after more than 20 years.

Bud-Ohly-Eagle-191x300The longtime boss at one of the area’s largest construction firms by volume has left the company, as Richmond BizSense reports.

Eagle Construction president Bud Ohly has exited the company after 20 years with the firm.

The shakeup follows Eagle’s acquisition by Markel Corp just a year ago.The firm is headquartered in West Broad Village, a mixed use development first started by Forida-based Unicorp National Developments.

A branch of Eagle helped rescue from bankruptcy following the economic downturn with a series of cash infusions that allowed construction to continue.
