Tonight the Dwight Jones campaign made a mistake. Acting on behalf of the candidate, someone apparently decided to force-feed a load of campaign news/propaganda into the RVABlogs aggregator, in order to dominate its front page. In all 24 consecutive posts popped up.

Maybe it will turn out to have been an accident, some sort of glitch?

Probably not.

More likely it was somebody’s half-baked idea that got put into action, before it was properly looked over.

Still, it doesn’t speak particularly well for the people around the candidate. That they could so thoroughly misunderstand the spirit of cooperation that has made Ross Catrow’s RVABlogs the boon to Richmond it has been, doesn’t speak all that well for the Jones camp.

Maybe this sort of raw opportunism will backfire on the perpetrator so badly that we won’t see any more of it. Maybe not.
