Dude, when’s my recycling getting picked up?

Chill, bro. It’s happening this weekend!

Councilman Jon Baliles has passed along a Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) release regarding the yet-collected recycling bins stemming from this week’s wintry weather.

The short version: keep your bins out! Collectors will come on Friday, Saturday, and maybe even Sunday to get them.

Here’s the CVWMA release:

Please leave your recycling on the curb as we hope to have everything collected by Saturday evening; however please be aware that there is a possibility of some collections occurring on Sunday.

Please note that TFC Recycling, CVWMA’s Contractor for the curbside recycling program will begin collection at 6:00am Friday morning on RED Monday routes to ensure all bins and carts are collected. This is a change from the normal 7:00am start. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your patience and thank you for recycling!

For additional information, please call the Recycling Hotline at 340–0900 or visit http://www.cvwma.com/"
