Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant opening soon, hiring 180 workers

The restaurant and winery is hosting a job fair Monday and Tuesday, and plans to open December 8th.

If you’re in the market for a restaurant job, the forthcoming Cooper’s Hawk Winery is hosting a job fair Monday, October 27th and Tuesday, October 28th.

The company hopes to identify potential team members to fill the 180 full and part-time positions. The hiring event will be held at the Hyatt House Hotel, located in Short Pump Town Center.

“We’re looking to put together a vibrant staff of friendly team members in the Richmond area who share our passion and enthusiasm for food and wine and are interested in pursuing an opportunity and, perhaps, a career with Cooper’s Hawk,”  said Tim McEnery, Founder & CEO.

Cooper’s Hawk will open its Richmond location on December 8th at Short Pump Town Center. Guests can expect a modern, but casual, dining experience with warm service and a menu created with its own handcrafted wines in mind.

Some of the restaurant’s signature dishes are the Pistachio-Crusted Grouper, Red Wine Braised Short Ribs, and Mexican Drunken Shrimp, according to management.

“We know we’re entering a competitive restaurant landscape in a thriving foodie community – and we’re up for the challenge,” McEnery said of the Richmond restaurant market.

The positions Cooper’s Hawk is hiring for include kitchen staff, houseworkers, tasting room attendants, servers, hosts and bartending staff.  Interested candidates who are unable to attend can also apply online.

A relatively small chain with locations around the country, Cooper’s Hawk has already picked up a number of awards for its concept, including “Breakout Brand 2013” and “Hot Concept 2010” by industry publication Nations Restaurant News, and was also selected as 2013’s MenuMasters Winner in the category of “Menu Trendsetter.” McEnery was also named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the Midwest region.
