City Council will pick up again Monday evening after their August break and the agenda includes a few issues of direct impact on the area: rezoning on Main Street, a special use permit on 18th Street, preparations for the Virginia Capital Trail, and adding to the Slave Trail Commission.

Ord. No. 2008-186 (Patron: Mayor Wilder, By Request) – To conditionally rezone *** 4708 East Main Street from the M-2 Heavy Industrial District to the RF-1 Riverfront District (Conditional) ***.

Ord. No. 2008-192 (Patron: President Pantele, By Request) – To authorize the special use of *** 305 North 18th Street for the purpose of a mixed-use, multi-family dwelling ***.

Ord. No. 2008-197 (Patron: Mayor Wilder) – To *** accept the dedication of real property located along Dock Street and an easement on real property located along the Canal Basin from CSX Transportation, Inc. to facilitate the development of the Virginia Capital Trail.

Res. No. 2008-R108 (Patron: All Members of Council) – To appoint Tameka B. Hobbs as a member of the Slave Trail Commission ***.
