Chocolates by Kelly’s grand opening party

Church Hill’s newest chocolatier celebrates in style.

“I couldn’t be happier about the turn out to our grand opening party.”

So said Kelly Walker, owner and operator of Chocolates by Kelly. She celebrated the grand opening of her new Church Hill location on April 5.

The neighborhood has been so welcoming and supportive,” Kelly said. “I’m looking forward to being a part of this forward momentum I’m seeing up there.”

chocolatesThe celebration included homemade chocolates, various goodies from Kelly’s kitchen, and an impressive spread of gourmet pizzas from River City Wood Fire Pizza.

“It was foodie heaven!” She said.

But even after a successful grand opening party, Kelly is busy brainstorming. As the weather gets warmer, she wants to introduce ice cream, cold brew coffee to go, chocolate mousse, and house-made budino, an Italian custard to the menu.

But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the party was the presence of Church Hill Studio‘s Elaine Odell. Her job? capturing the reactions of various attendees as they enjoyed a sample of Kelly’s chocolate.

The results speak for themselves:
