Chesterfield County Police Department Offering Entrance Exam

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department will offer its police officer entrance exam on Saturday, Feb. 21, beginning at 7:45 a.m. The exam will be held at the Eanes-Pittman Public Safety Training Center, 6610 Public Safety Way (in the Chesterfield County government complex). The exam is for people who are interested in careers in law enforcement with the Chesterfield County Police Department. In addition to a written test, participants will be tested on physical agility, including a 1.5-mile run, sit-ups and push-ups. This will be the final entrance exam for the June academy. Anyone interested in taking the entrance exam is encouraged to go online to www.chesterfieldpd.com and complete an application prior to the exam date. The starting salary for a police officer in Chesterfield County is $39,000.
