Chesterfield County Extension Offers Workshops

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Virginia Cooperative Extension office is offering two workshops this spring designed to assist county residents in improving their financial and home-management skills. The first, Home Management – Housekeeping, will be held in two sessions on Thursday, April 9, and Thursday, April 16, 9:30 a.m.-noon. Participants will receive instruction in acquiring or improving basic skills and competencies in maintaining their homes. A certificate for home management will be issued to those completing both sessions. The second workshop, Financial Management, will be held in two sessions on Thursday, May 7, and Thursday, May 21, 9:30 a.m.-noon. Participants will learn basic skills in setting financial goals, making spending plans, building and improving credit, and making wise consumer choices. A certificate for financial management will be issued to those completing both sessions. Both workshops are free and open to the public. Preregistration is encouraged.
