1) Saving Program for Entrepreneurs

Crater Small Business Development Center is offering the Virginia Individual Development Program (VIDA).  This is designed to encourage savings and improve personal financial planning to help low-income business owners build productive assets and self-sufficiency.  The main focus for this program is entrepreneurship.

VIDA will match up to a 2.1 ratio.  For every dollar the entrepreneur saves the program will match two dollars not exceeding $4,000 per saver.  In addition, all enrolled participants must attend the financial management training that will include topics such as credit, setting a budget/savings schedule, and the basics of money management.
