Carytown hosts Black Saturday this weekend, where lots of the stores and restaurants are coming out with their own deals and specials. And there are carriage rides!

In the spirit of Richmond not liking to follow the rules, Carytown is being very Richmond, and hosting Black Saturday. Unlike the typical situation where a disturbing amount of sale hoarders who go out on Black Friday, there won’t be any midnight openings or vibrant coupon books. Instead, many of the businesses are offering deals for those willing to break from their food comas and Black Friday hangovers and shop happily along the “mile of style.”

Free horse-drawn carriage rides will be trailing happy shoppers up and down the street from 12 – 5. Other dates for these will be Saturday December 8, and Saturday December 22.
