Carytown’s Byrd Theatre was recently examined by ghost hunters from Ghostec, who spent the night in the empty theatre with video and sound equipment. Their target was former Byrd manager Bob Coulter who died in 1978 but is rumored to still roam inside. His favorite seat continues to be the left aisle of the 2nd to-last-row in the center section of the balcony.

The RTD has a slideshow documenting the endeavor. I’m not sure who footed the bill for Ghostec, but I sure hope it wasn’t the Byrd Theatre Foundation.
