Police announced a significant arrest in their continued efforts to identify and quash incidents of underage drinking at parties and other events throughout the county.

Just after midnight on March 29, police responded to the 6500 block of Woodlake Village Court in the Woodlake Village Apartments, where a large party was under way. Police observed more than two dozen individuals in the residence and extensive evidence of alcohol being consumed.

After investigating the matter, police charged the following people with underage possession of alcohol, a Class I misdemeanor: Gregory James Edmonds, 20, of the 14300 block of Birnam Woods Road; Phillip Lee Powers, 20, of the 14300 block of Birnam Woods Road; Timothy Reid Johnson, 18, of 7800 block of Falling Hill Terrace; Brandon Bently Hartman, 20, of the 13900 block of Sagebrook Road; Thomas Joseph Krecker, 20, of the 6300 block of Walnut Bend Terrace; Brandon Scott Clayton, 20, of the 14100 block of Fiddlers Ridge Road; and Brandon Sean Ellis, 19, of the 12600 block of Hampton Crossing Drive.

Police also charged David Christopher Vernon Jr., 20, of the 6500 block of Woodlake Village Court, with five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of maintaining a common nuisance, all misdemeanors.

Eight juveniles also were charged with underage possession of alcohol. This investigation continues and additional charges may be placed.

Chesterfield County Police urge anyone with information about parties or locations where underage drinking may be occurring to contact them at 748-1251 or to call Crime Solvers at 748-0660. Chesterfield County Police continue to make reducing underage drinking and all alcohol-related incidents a priority.
