On Tues., Mar. 4 at 7 p.m., Chop Suey Books will host a free reading/music performance with Al Burian and Erin Tobey. This will take place at the original Chop Suey location (1317 W. Cary Street).

Al Burian is currently a resident of Chicago and is best known for his ‘zine (or, independently published magazine) Burn Collector, now in it’s 13th issue. He has also published the serial minicomic Things Are Meaningless and the travel ‘zine Natural Disasters. Burian gained much acclaim in the underground ‘zine culture, though is writing is beginning to be praised in more mainstream publications.

Erin Tobey is a resident of Richmond and can be seen nationally playing either her own acoustical music or with the pop-punk band The Pink Razors. You can learn more about her at www.hellomermaid.com.
