BT’s Deli closes doors in Twin Hickory

Family-owned deli was in business for just seven months.

BT’s Deli, a family-owned spot in the Twin Hickory Town Center at Nuckols and Twin Hickory Roads, has closed its doors.

Owner Michael Tillem posted a note on Facebook announcing the closure on Friday, reading in part:

It is with a heavy heart we have to announce the closing of BT’s Deli effective tomorrow, 11/29/14. It has been an honor to serve our community for the past 7 months.

BT’s had just recently started dinner service, and the neighborhood deli received a glowing review from the Richmond Times-Dispatch in late October.

The outparcel building once housed a Bottoms Up Pizza franchise and a Casa Grande Mexican restaurant, respectively. A Bruster’s Real Ice Cream location, which also shared the building, closed earlier this year.
