Bicyclist dies after colliding with VDOT snow plow near Virginia Center Commons
The accident happened just before 6:00 AM on Route 1 in Henrico.
A bicyclist struck by a VDOT snow plow early this morning on Route 1 near Virginia Center Commons Mall has died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The female bicyclist, whose name has yet to be released, was hit by the plow around 5:40 AM, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Steve Vick, and taken to VCU Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating; we’ll update this story as we learn more.
