Per the RTD, Appomattox Regional Governor’s School student Wilmer Wilson is one of two recipients of the 2008 Photography Portfolio Gold Award (awarded by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers) for his photographs on race and identity. This award includes a reception at Carnegie Hall, a show at the NYC gallery White Columns, and a $10,000 prize.
