Based upon a reminder notice from Gov. Kaine’s office — Make sure you aren’t turned away on election day because of showing up at the wrong precinct, having inaccurate voter information, or not registering to vote by the October 6 deadline. Virginia residents can check their voter registration status by visiting www.sbe.virginia.gov and clicking on the “Check Voter Registration Status” link (presently along the left side of the page), or by calling (804) 864-8901 or (800) 552-9745. Staff and volunteers answer phones at the Virginia State Board of Election Voter Registration Call Center from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
