The cafetorium at A.P. Hill Elementary School was packed and the stage beautifully decorated on December 16, 2008 as the PTA/Title I Parent Advisory Council (PAC) hosted a celebration of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

You might ask, why Rudolph? Well, Rudolph saved Christmas. Remember, he guided Santa’s sleigh with his shiny nose. In the meantime the Toy Soldiers and Dolls were protecting Toyland from all the anxious boys and girls in the audience.

This program was a means by which to put emphasis on and encourage reading. Patricia Crocker shared the story of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, surrounded by the boys and girls. The A.P. Hill Choir serenaded the audience with Christmas carols. All the students got a chance to take a bag of reindeer food home.
