Anthem Moonlight Ride rolls through Northside, Museum District tomorrow night

Walk-up registration is still open this evening at Sports Backers Stadium.

Countless bikers of all skill levels will pedal through Northside, the Museum District and the Near West End tomorrow night to take part in the Anthem Moonlight Ride.

If you haven’t registered and still want to participate, walk-up registration is available this evening at the packet pickup session at Sports Backers Stadium from 6:00-7:30 PM

Adult entry is $50, and children 8-14 are $25. The race begins at 8:00 PM Saturday evening.

With the ‘Full Moon’ (17-mile) course and the ‘Half Moon’ (8-mile) option, there’s something for everyone.

All participants will receive a jersey, a complimentary slice of pizza, ice cream and a soft drink or Blue Moon beer at the post-race celebration at Sports Backers Stadium.

The Blue Moon Costume & Tacky Light Contest also will allow participants to dress up as their favorite characters or deck bikes out with tacky lights for a chance at prizes. Prizes will be handed out to the top three individuals, duos, or groups.

While both routes are closed to traffic, police will be allowing vehicles to cross at certain intersections, so proceed with caution whether participating or in your car.

Intersections open to traffic:

  • Dumbarton & Hermitage
  • Laburnum & Hermitage
  • Westwood & Broad
  • Westmoreland Street & Monument
  • Peachtree & Monument
  • Libbie & Monument
  • Bremo & Monument
  • Willow Lawn & Monument
