One Voice Chorus will present AN’ ALL THAT JAZZ at Anderson-Turner Auditorium in Virginia Hall on the campus of Virginia State University in Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th. In collaboration with the Richmond Jazz Society, the all jazz concert features music of the Harlem Renaissance era with popular guest artists Desiree Roots and a jazz combo led by pianist Dr. Weldon Hill.  The concert will be conducted by One Voice Artistic Director, Glen McCune, and Associate Conductor Frank Williams.  B.J. Brown, executive director of the Richmond Jazz Society will narrate.

One Voice Chorus was founded to bring together Richmonders of African and European descent in shared experiences of great music.  Since its first performance in 2002, chorus membership has grown to more than 100 singers representing the rich diversity of metropolitan Richmond.  Concerts and community performances throughout the year feature a variety of musical styles, including classical choral works, jazz and traditional African American spirituals.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the musical and cultural mission of One Voice Chorus.  Tickets purchased in advance from chorus members are $15.  Tickets purchased online or at the door are $20.  A limited number of tickets for non-profit organizations are available for $5.  All tickets are general admission.  For directions to Virginia Hall or to purchase tickets online, go to www.onevoicechorus.org or call 866-455-6069 (toll free).
