The City of Petersburg Museums’ annual “Historic All Hallow’s Eve Tour” will take place Friday, October 31 in Blandford Cemetery. The focus of the guided walking tour will be the cemetery history, gravestone symbolism and tales of some of the permanent residents of Blandford Cemetery, portrayed by costumed interpreters. The tour will feature interesting accounts of Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers, peculiar townspeople, and star-crossed lovers. The sixty-minute tours will leave from Blandford Church Reception Center every fifteen minutes beginning at 6:30 pm, with the last tour starting at 8:15 pm.

Parking for the event will be at the Old Towne Visitor Center parking lot near the Farmer’s Market in Old Towne Petersburg. A shuttle bus will provide transportation to and from the cemetery throughout the evening beginning at 6:00 pm and ending at 9:45 pm. No event parking will be available at the cemetery. Please plan to meet the shuttle bus 30 minutes before the reserved tour time.

Tickets for the tour are $7.00 per person for adults and $5.00 for children under twelve. Space is limited. Reservations are recommended and can be made at the Petersburg Visitor’s Center in Old Towne. Hours of operation for the Visitor’s Center are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily.
