2. American Craft Beer Week

It’s surely looking to be a wet weekend. I’m a little bit referring to the never-ending rain, and a lot referring to American Craft Beer week which is taking over our country, and of course our booze-loving town. There are events happening all over the place, so this weekend give craft beer some attention for once.

3. Celebrate Jackson Ward

Hey, Jackson Ward is way more than just a pretty face and great restaurants. It has a history, you know. And stories. And feelings. This outdoor “Big Tent” festival features the Symphony as well as a jillion other local acts.

4. Chalk Up the Town

Those sidewalks in Carytown always just look so…cementy. Roll up your sleeves, grab a piece of chalk, and brighten up Richmond’s favorite street for a few days! (Or until the next time it rains.)

5. Blue Man Group

As a sensitive culture, I feel like we should just call these guys “The Man Group,” because frankly no one should be defined by their skin color. Or maybe “The Group,” because no one should be defined by their gender either. Or maybe just “The,” because there’s nothing wrong with being single. But if you want to call them “The Blue Man Group” so people know you’re talking about that drum-banging, paint-slinging, joy-inducing group, go right ahead.
