5 Things for Families: Food, more food, art, music, and old timey fun
Now that we’re all significantly less soggy, let’s get out and do some stuff.

1. 32nd Annual Lebanese Food Festival
I hear there are children who will eat things other than Goldfish. If you have one of these mythical creatures, perhaps the young sir or madame would care for some stuffed grape leaves or bubbaghanooge? For those of us with regular, carbohydrate-filled kids, at least there will be fantastic music and dancing to keep them entertained.

2. Camp In: Food Science
Check out the science behind some of your favorite foods; cook up your own concoctions; learn about different kinds of mold; and catch a screening of Great White Shark in the Dome–because we’re all potentially shark food, I guess? (Recommended for upper elementary school-aged kids.)

- $45 per child; $20 per adult (one adult required for every four children)
3. ArtBots
This almost makes me want to be a middle schooler again. Kids in grades six through 12 are invited to come find out how to make their own “art bots” out of things like electric toothbrushes and pool noodles.

4. Richmond Symphony Youth Concert, Camerata Strings & String Sinfonieta
I…don’t know what a lot of those words mean, but I’m pretty sure young, talented musicians are involved, so your kids will probably like it!

5. May Faire
Celebrate the arrival of spring with pony rides, jump rope making, birdhouse building, and more. And get this: they’re gonna have a ding-dang maypole! That’s some Stars Hollow ish right there!
