Win two tickets to Richmond Ballet’s Romeo + Juliet

Meet someone wonderful, fall tragically in love, bring them to the ballet for free, try not to poison each other.

What is more romantic than a story of two teenagers who fall in love instantly and then are dead in three days?

The ol’ Capulets and Montagues sure knew how to do it up. And maybe that kind of the love ideal? You miss all the fighting, the budgeting, and the ennui of middle age, and your deaths may just end up mending a bitter feud between two families!

Let’s not try this at home, though. Instead, catch the Richmond Ballet’s
Romeo_+ Juliet (the use of the “+” is not an indication that it is done in the style of the 1996 Baz Luhrmann classic, unfortunately).

Prokofiev’s emotional score (courtesy of the Richmond Symphony) is integrated with Malcolm Burn’s passionate choreography, and word on the street is that it’s an intense combo.

Romeo + Juliet runs from Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th at Carpenter Theatre.
