Violin repair available in Manchester with Four Strings

He’ll reset your neck and send you on your way.

Four Strings is a one man shop focused on providing violin repair services to the area’s ” bowed string instrumentalists”.  It’s owned and operated by Adam Birce and is located in Studio 38 of Plant Zero (0 E. 4th Street). Four Strings is active both on the website (previous link) and Facebook. He’s definitely involved in the classical music scene and it’s worth bookmarking if you have any of those leanings.

This morning Richmond BizSense.com has an article that talks with him about his shop, career, and why he chose Manchester.

Manchester came on his radar at the suggestion of a Divaris real estate broker, and Birce said he found the neighborhood’s atmosphere appealing.

“I intended on setting up shop in Shockoe Bottom or the financial district downtown,” Birce said. “I’ve been in Richmond since 2002, and I remember when I moved here Manchester was just a bunch of warehouses with spray paint on them.”
