There is no denying that we live in a digital world. More often than not a truly wonderful snapshot of a loved one or a magic moment in time is viewed on Facebook, gets a few likes and then vanishes. Physical photos on the wall can be a nearly constant link to the moment and/or person. Etsy (better known as the online seller of hand crafted goods) is hosting a Craft Party called Recapture.

You’re invited to Etsy Craft Party 2014: Recapture, Bring new meaning to your photographs. Etsy Craft Party is a one-day celebration of meeting and making. This year’s theme focuses on transforming photographs into display-worthy works of art using a variety of craft supplies and creative techniques.

In our digital world, physical photographs have become a thing of the past—hiding out in drawers, closed albums, and dusty frames. At this year’s Craft Party, we’ll transform your photographs into display-worthy works of art using a variety of craft supplies and creative techniques.

All you need to bring is a photo that tells a story about a person, place, or thing – or all of the above.
