Head down to Brown’s Island this Friday to catch The Infamous Stringdusters and James Justin & Co at the final Friday Cheers of 2013.

Well, this is it folks. The final Friday Cheers of 2013 takes place this Friday, featuring The Infamous Stringdusters and James Justin & Co. Things kick off at 6:00 PM; tickets are $10, and children under 12 are free. Here’s a quick preview of what to expect this week, and, of course, there’s more info on the Facebook event page.

The Infamous Stringdusters

If you’ve spent any time in Nelson County you might have heard of The Infamous Stringdusters’ annual bluegrass fest, The Festy Experience, that takes place at Devils Backbone Brewing. Which 1) has the best name evert, and 2) sounds pretty awesome. And you know what? The Infamous Strindusters sound pretty awesome too. They’re just enough bluegrass, just enough country, and just enough…something else. Honestly, it feels a little bit like the 90s up in there sometimes. Whatever it is, its worth a listen.

James Justin & Co.

James Justin & Co: hometown folks that are full of soul! That previous sentence is what I would exclaim if someone asked me to shout a short description of James Justin & Co. I might also go with: “They sound like a really great beard!” Which, to me, is the perfect way to wrap up the 2013 season of Friday Cheers.
