The GRTC wants you (to appear in a new ad)

The company is looking for a few good men and women to appear in upcoming video and print ads. And you can be one of them.

The Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) is looking for volunteers to be featured in its upcoming marketing projects. Those projects include ads to appears on TV, before movies, on YouTube, in newspapers and magazines, and on bus boards.

The transit company seeks a diverse group of GRTC riders, plus friends and family members. Here are the projects that GRTC will work on according to this City blog post:

  • How to use the transit On the Go Mobile App instructional video. Will require a day’s time and some dialogue.
  • Testimonials from current GRTC riders about their experience with the service and the destinations they reach via GRTC. Will require half a day and some dialogue.
  • Get Ready to Connect, a series of videos. Will require one-day involvement, but no dialogue. GRTC needs an African-American family of mother, father, 5-6 year old, grandmother type, plus 2-3 other family members, and 5-6 others of various other enthnicities.   • Team RideFinders Campaign needs new heroes to replace Mrs. Match, Bike Boy, and ERH (Emergency Ride Home). This campaign could require both video and photo shoots, and the heroes make public appearances one or two times a year. Central Virginia residents are preferred.

Production will take place in September and October. Those interested should send two current digital photos (a head shot and full-body shot) to Joan Straszewski at the GRTC. The deadline to send them is Friday, September 6th at 12:00 PM.

All volunteers used in marketing materials will be unpaid.
