Tickets are now on sale for the exhibition featuring master sculptor Auguste Rodin, which runs November 21st, 2015 – March 13th, 2016.
A new exhibit is opening this weekend at the VMFA, focusing on the works and life of Augste Rodin, widely considered the progenitor of modern sculpture.
Organized by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Musée Rodin in Paris, this exhibition will feature nearly 200 works by the 19th and early 20th century sculpting master. Revealing the evolving output of this genius of sculpture, the exhibition examines his techniques, materials, models and assistants, and explores the extraordinary working process behind some of his best known works.
The exhibit is free for VMFA members, children 6 and under, and active-duty military personnel and their immediate families; $15 for regular adult admission; discounted pricing for college students and seniors (see website).
The Rodin exhibit runs November 21st, 2015 – March 13th, 2016 at the museum’s main exhibition gallery.
Coming up next week, we’ll have an in-depth feature on the exhibit and what not to miss–stay tuned!
