Richmond International Film Festival 2016 recommended viewing
We did some research, and here’s what we recommend.
You can’t be several places at once, unfortunately. Otherwise, you could see every single one of the 150 movies at the Richmond International Film Festival. If, like us, you do not have superpowers, here are the films we recommend.

Starring Jesse Eisenberg, and depicting a lot of things about grief and regret and whatnot. Not really a romp, per se, but something that will make an impact.

INDIA’S DAUGHTER
Leslee Udwin, India
A documentary about the gang-rape and murder of Jyoti Singh in 2012. It’s hard to watch, but it’s ultimately optimistic.

A very gritty, vigilante-style documentary about Ukraine’s troubles after the fall of the Soviet Union, particularly those issues affecting children.
