Richmond artists to compete in NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest

RVA musicians, get yourselves behind a tiny desk and you could be NPR famous.

RVA musicians, you have an opportunity to get your name out there and become famous in one easy step. Well, it may not be THAT easy, but it is a very good opportunity nonetheless.

The wonderful people behind NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series (you know you’ve watched all of them just like I have) (and if you haven’t, here’s your opportunity) are asking millions of unknown bands and musicians to submit for the chance to play at its Tiny Desk Concert series.

The winner will get to play a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR in Washington, D.C. as well as appear at a taping of NPR’s Ask Me Another and Tour the United States with NPR and Lagunitas. Richmond artists are just as excited as the rest of the country, and the videos are pouring in.

Two local favorites have had the prestigious honor of performing for Tiny Desk Concert. Look at how awesome they are!
