Record Store Day is this Saturday
Celebrate those independents who have filled our lives with music for years.
Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 as a way to celebrate the independent record seller and all they’ve done to bring music into the world.
One of my first memories of Richmond was walking into Plan 9 Music and being blown away by all the albums, it was unlike anything I had seen. For me Plan 9 will always be intrinsically Richmond and some of the Richmonders I count as friends.
Richmond has six stores that are officially part of the organized Record Store Day including the recently opened BK Music in Stratford Hills. These stores will have special albums and other merchandise that are exclusive to Record Store Day participants.
