Psycho Beach Party comes ashore to Richmond Triangle Players Thursday night

The off-Broadway show comes to the Scott’s Addition theatre Thursday, June 23rd.

From Richmond Triangle Players:

Psycho Beach Party is an off-kilter, off-Broadway smash hit comedy that takes us to the 1960’s and mashes up Frankie and Annette beach party epics and Hitchcock psychological suspense thrillers such as Spellbound and Marnie.

Chicklet Forrest (played by Brent Gallahan), a teenage tomboy, desperately wants to be part of the surf crowd on Malibu Beach in 1962.

One thing getting in her way is her unfortunate tendency towards split personalities. Among them is a black check-out girl, an elderly radio talk show hostess, a male model named Steve and the accounting firm of Edelman and Edelman. Her most dangerous alter ego is a sexually voracious vixen named Ann Bowman who has nothing less than world domination on her mind!

The production also features Dan Cimo, Ed Hughes. Jessi Johnson, Louise Keeton, Madeline Lovegrove, Ethan Malamud, Milo Pfeffer, Lucian Restivo, Stevie Rice and Karen Stanley.

RTP’s production of Psycho Beach Party opens Thursday June 23, and runs Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8 pm through August 15, with Sunday matinees August 2 and 9 at 4 pm. There will be a low-priced preview on Wednesday July 22 at 8 pm (all tickets just $18!), and a special “Actors Fund” performance on Tuesday August 11.
