Polar Express in IMAX

What’s better than watching a modern holiday classic? Watching it on a MASSIVE screen!

What’s more Christmas-y than cuddling up next to your little ones and watching, a movie about a magical train that takes kids up to the North Pole to meet Santa? How about if that train is all up in your face while Tom Hanks’s heavenly voice1 envelopes you?

Well, folks, that can happen–just over on Broad Street!

Throughout the holiday season, movie-lovers can experience what Roger Ebert called a film that would be “shared by the generations” on the 76-foot IMAX screen at the Science Museum of Virginia.

The Polar Express is showing at the Science Museum now through January 1st. Showtimes vary, so check the website for details. General admission is $9; member tickets are $5.

  1. Admit it; it’s heavenly. Except for when he’s yelling, at which point it becomes the most hilarious thing on the planet.
