Live at Ipanema
With sad eyes and heavy hearts we say farewell to one of our longest running, most popular, and most interesting features: Live at Ipanema.
With sad eyes and heavy hearts we say farewell to one of our longest running, most popular, and most interesting features: Live at Ipanema. Each and every month for the last two years the magnanimous Kendra Feather, owner of Ipanema and Garnett’s, hosted a different, wonderful, local band and provided the recordings to you, dear Richmond.
Not only that, but each of these live recordings is available for you to download for FREE. I mean that is pretty great if you think about it: 24 albums of fantastic local music. I suggest you get to downloading.
Perhaps you should start with the final Live at Ipanema, which was a couple of weeks ago and featured Mark Brown. You can listen to his whole set below, or download it here.

Thanks to everyone who supported the series!
Of course, none of this could have been possible without the incredible Kendra Feather!
Thanks to all the bands who played, the photographers who documented, and the patrons who held us up!
I do believe the Karen Newton(http://icouldgoonandon.blogspot.com/) attended all the shows except maybe one.
To the ever gracious and accommodating Ipanema staff, Thank You!
See you soon.
Good job. Hope to see more events.
