One of the most popular summer concert series in town, Friday Cheers, has announced its 2012 line up. Featuring national acts, along with some local favorites, the summer can’t get here fast enough.

Here’s the full season lineup:
- May 4 • Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, with The Preservation • $5.
- May 11 • Carolina Chocolate Drops, with The Inflatables • $5.
- May 18-20 • Dominion Riverrock, featuring Galactic, The Travelin’ McCourys featuring Keller Williams and JJ Grey & Mofro • FREE.
- May 25 • RVA Music Night featuring Richmond bands: Three Sheets to the Wind, The Trillions, and Photosynthesizers • $5.
- June 1 • Chris Young with Honky Tonk Heroes • $10.
- June 8 • ALO with Former Champions • $5.
- June 15 • Dawes with Sara Watkins • $5.
- June 22 • Alabama Shakes, with Robert Ellis • $5.
- June 29 • A special evening honoring Ralph White, with proceeds to benefit the James River: Trampled By Turtles, with Goldrush •$10.

There are one or two good bands here; however, there are so many great bands out there! RVA needs to pull them in.
Some good shows. Too bad you can’t get a local beer there. You would think Venture would support Richmond beers.
